Why are Google Reviews so good for business?

This week we surpassed eighty 5* reviews on Google and it made us do a little happy dance in the office. Google reviews are a valuable asset for businesses of all sizes. They can help you improve your online visibility and build relationships with your customers.

But don’t take our word for it, here are 5 reasons why Google reviews are important for your businesses:

  1. They boost your online visibility. Google reviews are one of the most important factors that Google considers when ranking businesses in local search results. This means that businesses with more positive reviews are more likely to appear higher in search results, which can lead to more traffic and customers.
  2. They generate trust. When potential customers see positive reviews about a business, they are more likely to trust that business and choose to do business with them. This is because reviews provide social proof, which is a powerful way to build trust and credibility.
  3. They help you improve your customer experience. By reading reviews, you can get valuable feedback from your customers about what they like and dislike about your business. This feedback can help you identify areas where you can improve your customer experience, which can lead to more positive reviews and even more satisfied customers.
  4. They increase sales. Studies have shown that businesses with positive reviews tend to generate more sales than businesses with negative reviews. This is because positive reviews can help to persuade potential customers to choose your business over the competition.
  5. They help you build relationships with your customers. When you respond to reviews, you can build relationships with your customers and show them that you value their feedback. This can help to create a more positive and loyal customer base.

Some interesting stats:

  • 81% of consumers read Google reviews before visiting a business.
  • 93% of users have made buying decisions based on an online review.
  • Over 60% of consumers are likely to leave a review if the business asks for one.
  • Google hosts 73% of all online reviews for businesses.
  • 28% of consumers say they have looked up a business’s reviews while standing or parked right outside the building.
  • 10 reviews seem to be the magic number that can bump up your business ranking in local search.
