Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

Retaining Customer Loyalty when your Business is Closed.

Just like you, your customers are trying to cope with the current situation and when this crisis is behind us, they will remember the companies that stayed connected during this tough time.

So, what can you do?

1. If your garage is still open, reassure customers that you are taking all the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of infection. Your customers will be reassured if there is hand sanitiser available for their use and for employee use too. Make sure customers are aware that you will be disinfecting all contact areas within the vehicle before handing it back.

2. A lot of your customers will already use social media, but they will undoubtedly be checking their social media more frequently at the moment. Whether you post about virus-related issues or simply post light, positive content to take people’s minds off the situation, this is your opportunity to make sure your business is regularly featuring in your customers’ news feeds.

3. You might like to ask customers to book online now which could be exchanged for a MOT or service once life is back to normal. This can maintain sales while the garage is closed and secure that customer’s business for when it opens again.

4. Focus on digital customer service. Continue to offer phone and email support to your customers but make sure customers know that they also can contact you via your website or Facebook etc.

Your customers may be stuck at home but with these tips you can keep connected with them and continue to provide excellent customer service both of which will encourage them back to you once life gets back to normal.
